    Larceny of concrete statue, 7610 High Market St.

    March 6

    Johnathan Blake Ferster, 21, charged on outstanding warrant from New Hanover County for obtaining property by false pretense.

    Cody Austin Kohler, 22, charged on outstanding warrant from New Hanover County on a charge of obtaining property by false pretense.

  • Calabash Fire Department

    During the month of February, the Calabash Fire Department responded to 161 calls: six structure fires, three woods/brush fires, five fire alarms, two motor vehicle accidents, a rescue, a gas leak, 31 public assistance calls, four other, and 108 EMS first-response calls.

    Aaron Michael Goodrich, 37, 105 River Creek, charged with DWI.

    Feb. 19

    April Cheyenne Long, 20, 4860 Pigott Road SW, arrested on a charge of simple assault.

    Conversion by failure to return tax information to customers by Compass Accounting.

    Vandalism by driver of a Naber Dodge vehicle driving through a carwash in Sunoco parking lot and striking a wall with a headlight.

    Feb. 18

    George Anthony Pratt, 20, 1221 Dollier Court, Wilmington, arrested on a charge of fraud — obtaining money/property by false pretense after being found in possession of a stolen check and trying to cash it at a store on Village Road.

    Larceny by someone stealing a cell phone out of a purse while at Walmart on New Pointe Boulevard.

    Identity theft by someone using the victim’s information to obtain a federal student loan.

    Larceny and obtaining property by false pretense by someone taking items from Walmart without paying for them, then returning them to the store for a refund.

    Feb. 10

    Financial identity fraud reported by victim after someone opened an unauthorized account.

    Breaking and entering and larceny by someone breaking into a storage building on Village Road to steal property.

    Feb. 11

    Michael Coburn and Matthew Sanders were involved in a two-vehicle traffic crash on New Pointe Boulevard resulting in property damage.

    Arrests

    Angela Dawn English, 36, of 203 Charles Road, Eagle Springs, was charged Feb. 14 with DWI.

    Report of forged prescriptions at CVS.

    Timothy Julius Jernigan, 57, 938 Elderberry Lane, was charged with DWI, hit-and-run with property damage and failure to stop for blue lights and siren.
